Could you lead our EAL and MFL provision?

You will lead a small team of specialists who support our EAL students and teach French and Portuguese to GCSE. In addition you will manage a number of local organisations that support our EAL students.

The successful candidate will prioritise partnership teaching in order to improve the skills of teachers and LSAs as well supporting student achievement.

You will be an outstanding EAL teacher who is committed to supporting EAL students achieve the very best possible grades. You will also be committed to continuing to develop our innovative whole school approaches including the use of 'ASSET languages', business mentors for EAL students and LILAC (see www.unlocking theworld.com)

Lilian Baylis Technology School is a mixed, 11-16, inner city multicultural school located in a new building at Vauxhall, London. We have outstanding facilities including electronic whiteboards in all rooms and laptops for all staff.  In 2009 our 5A*-C with EM was 42% and our 5A*-C was 64%.

The EAL team is based in a suite of rooms in the heart of the school and runs a wide range of programmes to support our diverse intake.
